Textile industry is a traditional pillar industry in China and also an industry closely related to people’s livelihood. The article discusses the position and role of the Chinese textile industry in the national economy, the current development situation and the strategy of developing textile industry in a scientific way. It points out that the textile industry should promote the overall development with the scientific concept of development and follow a new path to industrialization to ensure sustainable development, thus promoting the construction of a harmonious society.
