The International Oeko-Tex Association will be making their first appearance this year at the world’s leading textile machinery exhibition, the ITMA in Munich, between 13 and 20 September. Experts from the Oeko-Tex institutes and the authorised contact offices around the world will be introducing the concept, methodology and requirements of the Oeko-Tex testing and certification system to interested visitors at the approx.

100 m2 stand in hall B2.163. Manufacturers at all stages of production throughout the textile value chain will therefore have the opportunity during their visit to find out about innovative machine technology, the latest in process technology, current research projects and new developments in dyestuffs and auxiliaries as well as the independent tests for harmful substances according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 as a valuable support for their in-house quality assurance.

The Oeko-Tex representatives are emphasising the international importance of the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 with an open and informative stand design. With its uniform requirements that apply throughout the world, the Oeko-Tex criteria catalogue creates a common language for the scientifically founded evaluation of potential harmful substances in textiles, and with over 60,000 certificates issued in the 15 years since its foundation, has established itself as a “global player” within the textile and clothing industry.

Visitors to the trade fair who would like to net themselves a “global player” in the form of an iPod exclusively engraved with the Oeko-Tex logo, can, with a little luck, do so by taking part in a competition that the Oeko-Tex Association is organising in the run up to and during the ITMA. Up until the beginning of the trade fair on 13 September, it is only possible to take part on the Internet at oeko-tex website.

After that, the competition will be continued at the exhibition stand until 20 September, where visitors to the fair can hand in their entry cards.

The winners of the prize draw will be announced every day from the start of the trade fair on the Oeko-Tex website, and must collect their iPod in person from the exhibition stand in hall B2.163. If it is not possible to collect the prize in person, another draw shall be made for the mp3-player.

Visitors to the ITMA fair who are interested in getting a quick overview of the most important facts relating to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and the testing expertise of the Oeko-Tex member institutes can find all necessary information including a download option for the application forms on the Oeko-Tex trade fair portal which has been specially set up at http://itma.oeko-tex.com.

Here there is another opportunity to take part in the ITMA-competition, as well as an overview of the Oeko-Tex representatives available at the exhibition stand during the trade fair to arrange an appointment.
